Fishman Family Fund for Economic Opportunity

Fishman Family Fund for Economic Opportunity honors Alan Fishman’s belief in creating community change through the power of economic opportunity, his steadfast leadership of Brooklyn Community Foundation, and the Fishman family’s longstanding generosity to the borough’s nonprofits.

Alan’s pride in, and commitment to, his hometown has been clear throughout his life and career. From his generosity to his service, he has continuously worked to invest in a better future for Brooklyn. He believes in and celebrates the Brooklyn spirit and the incredible creativity and collective strength of its residentsand from this perfect combination springs forth innovation and the promise of opportunity and prosperity for all. With an ambitious goal of raising $1 million over three years, this fund will support organizations working at the intersection of racial and economic justice to ensure a stronger future for Brooklyn.
