Change Starts Here: Fight for Immigrant Rights
Since the launch of our Immigrant Rights Fund in the weeks following the 2016 election, we have invested nearly $2 million in organizations leading the fight to protect the safety, security, and stability of immigrant communities across Brooklyn.
Under the Trump administration, immigrants have endured relentless attacks on the policies and protections that have enabled them to be full members of American society.
Moreover, undocumented workers and their families have suffered greatly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, including being explicitly excluded from the direct financial assistance of the CARES Act.
As we look ahead to a new Presidency, we know that there is an incredible amount of work to be done. And we need to equip nonprofits with the funding and resources to get started on day one.
Change Starts Here: Our partnerships with immigrant-led nonprofits have yielded powerful results. Help us accomplish even more, as we move from defending immigrant rights to envisioning a more just country where everyone has the opportunity to participate and prosper. Please donate today.
"Our partnership with Brooklyn Community Foundation is one of the main reasons our organization is capable of accomplishing all the victories we have achieved in the past years and will definitely play an essential role in achieving our goals and fighting for our mission."
