Nonprofits, Register Today: #BrooklynGives for COVID-19 Relief on #GivingTuesdayNow
Brooklyn Community Foundation is launching #BrooklynGives for COVID-19 Relief in partnership with #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of giving and unity on Tuesday, May 5, 2020.
#BrooklynGives is an annual campaign that encourages Brooklynites to give where they live on Giving Tuesday; #BrooklynGives for COVID-19 Relief will provide a one-stop local giving platform for #GivingTuesdayNow, with an aim to amplify awareness of and support for vital Brooklyn nonprofits and communities deeply impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
All Brooklyn-serving nonprofits are invited to create a profile or update their 2019 #BrooklynGives profile, to share what their needs are in this moment.
Brooklyn Community Foundation will be providing an additional $2,500 grant to all recipients of the Brooklyn COVID-19 Response Fund to match donations received through this effort. If your organization is a Fund grantee, you will receive a separate email with details on this grant.
Please register or update your existing profile as soon as possible. The new giving platform will launch on April 27th, with donations accepted through June.
#BrooklynGives is administered by GiveGab, which provides a comprehensive suite of tools to maximize fundraising, including peer-to-peer, goal setting, digital storytelling and more. Explore resources for #GivingTuesdayNow at https://www.brooklyngives.org/info/additional-resources
