Amy Scott

Special Projects Coordinator (She/Her/Hers)

Amy joined the Foundation in October 2020 to help streamline and support its operations. Prior to moving to Brooklyn in 2017, Amy spent over a decade advocating for greater educational equity in public schools as an educator, program director, and analyst in San Francisco and Pittsburgh. She facilitated participatory research with students, parents, and community members resulting in campaigns centering on students’ rights, including the right to be treated with respect and dignity and to have socially, emotionally, and physically safe environments free of zero tolerance policies. Amy is passionate about increasing access to spaces for people to heal from complex trauma rooted in systemic oppression. She holds a BS in Psychology and Biological Sciences from Northwestern University and an MS in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University. At her most joyful, Amy can be found singing, dancing, and biking around Brooklyn.
